Heres what others are saying about The Broughton City Centre Hotel?Guesthouse!

"Friendly,clean...etc. Their breatfast was nice and we have different choices. They also advise where to go and help to book one day highland trip."

"Booking on the internet from so far away we always wonder what we will find. Our rooms & bathrooms were spotless. Fred & Fi were very welcoming & helpful with our queries re getting places & restaurant suggestions. Breakfast was well worth getting up for & nothing was too much trouble. We would have no hesitation sending people here. Thankyou Fred & Fi for a wonderful time. We'll be back"

"Freddie and Fiona were excellent hosts, breakfast was delicious, all rooms were en-suite and very clean."

We stayed here for 10 nights and couldn't fault anything, or any aspect of our experience.
The hotel was easy to find and centrally located in Edinburgh so we could get to visit all the major attractions with no difficulty whatsoever.

Freddie and Fiona were always polite and thoughtful. Indeed, on more than one occasion they offerered good and helpful advice on what to go and see.

Our room was lovely: clean and with plenty of space, the room was a pleasure to sleep in (very comfy beds!) The showers were always nice and warm. We soon found ourselves very much at home here!
The breakfasts were lovely too. Cooked to perfection, I would reccomend the "Full Monty" (it fills you up all morning and gets your day off to a realy good start!)

Furthermore, the hotel is nice and quiet and it isn't difficult to get a nice peaceful nights sleep ready for the next action packed day!

Overall, a great big thank-you to Fiona & Freddie for making our stay a pleasant one & contributing to a thouroughly enjoyable trip: we would recommend the Broughton to anybody visiting Edinburgh.

  • Liked — Clean & comfy beds, polite staff & yummy breakfasts

A great find! Three of us stayed, in the triple room, over the weekend as we were attending a wedding nearby. It was excellent value and Fiona (and Freddy ) could not have been more helpful. It's in a great location too, with plenty of good quality pubs and restaurants nearby, and The Playhouse and the St James Shopping Centre just a few minutes' walk away. Can't recommend it highly enough, and hope to stay there again.

  • Liked — Its location, friendly personal service and great full Scottish breakfasts!

The hotel is very well situated, at a walking distance from most interesting places. Quiet, clean and cosy, with a deliciously tempting breakfast. Hosts were most helpful in providing us with tips on nice places, like restaurants, and also in helping us out with situations in general. Nice and quiet neighborhood .Would certainly stay there once again when returning to Edinburgh.

The location is perfect, close to everything and on a nice old street with almost no traffic at all. The service is perfect, a warm welcome, a quick administrations procedur, showing the room and telling us about whats going on in Edinburgh.
The breakfast is realy Scottish, good, well done and served as you were a guest in the owners house.
The rooms are what we need, a comfortable bed, a bathroom with shower, a teapot and a window with a wiew.
We really love this place.

Our second time of staying with the very welcoming Freddie and Fiona. Room facilities excellent with televison, refreshment tray and well timed central heating (a bit chilly first thing on an October morning in Edinburgh). Excellent full scotish breakfast, although the black pudding may be a little too spicey for some! Good free parking right in the centre of Edinburgh just the place as a base for exploring the town and surrounding districts or shopping whether it be Princess Street or Ocean Terminal or even a production at the Playhouse just across the road. We'll definatley be using the Broughton again on our next visit.
